How it works in five steps

    If nobody opens it, the link expires after 1 hour, 24 hours (the default) or 7 days.

One time view photo online, without login

On nosus.foo neither you nor the recipient needs an account or an app. You make the link in a browser. They open it in a browser, on a phone or a computer. So it works the same in an Instagram DM, a WhatsApp chat, an SMS or an email.

If you searched for a one time view link generator or a view once photo website, this is that job: a photo goes in, a link comes out. It isn't image hosting, though. Nothing stays up after the first download. A link nobody opens expires when you said it should.

View once photo upload: what happens to the photo

Your photo is encrypted on your device before it's uploaded. The key to open it sits in the link, in the part after the #, and browsers don't send that part to our server. We hold the encrypted photo, not the key, unless you ask for a six-digit code.

Tapping the link shows a button first, so a WhatsApp or Telegram link preview doesn't use it up. Only the download does. Then the photo is deleted from our server and the link is dead for everyone.

WhatsApp's view once works only inside WhatsApp. The photo isn't saved to the gallery and screenshots of it are blocked. If nobody opens it within 14 days, it expires. Instagram's disappearing photo lets you pick View once, View twice or Unlimited views, in the mobile app only, and only for people who follow you or have approved your messages.

A link gives up the screenshot block in exchange for reach: it works in any app, for anyone with a browser, and up to 10 photos can go in one link. Honest limits

  • The recipient downloads the photo, so they keep a normal copy: the link is one-time, not their copy.
  • A browser can't block screenshots, unlike WhatsApp's view once inside its own app.
  • Whoever opens the link first uses it up, so send it only to the person you mean.
  • With a six-digit code, the key sits on our server while the code is valid and is deleted within 10 minutes after it is used or expires.
