Scam ya Nahi?

Five practice messages a day. Tap SUS if it's a scam, NO SUS if it's genuine. Nox shows you the tell.

Loading today's cards.

Every card is a practice card, written by NO SUS from public warnings by RBI, I4C, the Department of Telecommunications and PIB Fact Check. Names like Kesari Bank are made up, phone numbers are masked, and links end in .example, so none of them open.

Five tells that catch most scams

  • A UPI PIN only ever sends money. No refund, prize or cashback needs it.
  • Banks don't send KYC or account-block links by SMS or WhatsApp. Open the bank's own app instead.
  • No police, CBI or customs officer questions or arrests anyone on a video call, or asks for money to close a case.
  • A stranger who wants you to install an app, share your screen or read out a code is not helping you.
  • "2 hours", "tonight", "last chance": the rush is the trick. Stop, then check with the number you already have.

Got scammed? Do this now

  1. Call 1930, the National Cyber Crime Helpline. Do it as soon as you can: money is easier to hold before it moves on. Keep the amount, time and transaction ID ready.
  2. Call your bank on the number in its app or on your card. Block the card or UPI, report the fraud and write down the complaint number.
  3. File the complaint on cybercrime.gov.in if 1930 didn't, and keep the acknowledgement number.
  4. Save the evidence before you block anyone: screenshots of the chat, the number, the UPI ID or link, and the transaction ID.
